Curtains out of a tablecloth

When we moved in there were the beautiful(but plain) bay windows in our eat-in kitchen. I wanted something to add flair but not cover up the whole window. Dealing with our black and white vinyl flooring I had to match something to it. I found some great placemats at Target and saw the matching tablecloth and curtains. Each curtain was $20 a peice!!! I grabbed the tablecloth and decided to make my own.

Using another plain, white tablecloth sewed to the back, I divided it up to make 3 panels. Adding ribbon to the top and ties, I ended up with curtains even better than the ones at Target! The sewing isn't perfect but I plan to do some touch ups when I get more patience, lol.

I'm Baaaaaack

Yes, it's been a while. Almost a year. I was so busy with work and living, I ended up completely forgetting about my blog. Let's just jump right back in, shall we? We recently moved to Ft. Bragg, NC. and bought our first house! I love it! Many things to decorate and create. I'll be showing you some things I've created and where I got the ideas. See you soon!
